January
1998 – Manson's goal for the millennium revealed: "My plan for the millennium is to save rock-and-roll from my senseless and unimaginative peers, and to look good while doing so." 
2000 – Manson featured in Rolling Stone's Millennium issue, and his early paintings are posted online.
 2001- Manson performs Cover of Cheap Trick's Surrender on the stroke of midnight on MTV. 1996 – ‘Irresponsible Hate Anthem played, perhaps for the first time, in Oldbridge, New Jersey. 2001 – Manson appears on the cover of High Times, and talks about the relationship of drugs to Holy Wood. 1997 – the first Dead to the World tour date to feature L7 as the opening act. 
2000 – Jawbreaker, in which Manson portrays the sleazy stranger, makes the Ebert and Siegel's "Worst Films Of 1999" list. On the same day, Manson begins to plan a painting exhibition. 1969 – Birthday! Marilyn Manson (Brian Hugh Warner) 
1991 - Manson gets his first tattoos, on his 21st birthday, including the goat's head and the withered tree. 
1997 – Manson was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, and he snorted lines of cocaine off the cover as Dr. Hook played at an ungodly volume. Manson imagined the cover to be "the new Marcel Duchamp toilet bowl." On the same day, MTV News Presents: From the Buzz Bin aired for the first time, featuring clips of all of Manson’s videos to date and an interview in a ten minute segment. 
1999 – Manson turns thirty. The line ‘don't trust anyone over thirty' now applies. 
2000 – Bile recorded a track for a Marilyn Manson tribute album, announced in honor of his 31 st birthday.
2001 - Manson began officially dating Dita Von Teese. 1997 - Mayor Dick Winder of Caldwell Ohio held a special briefing for City Council members on "security and other issues" regarding a Manson show. 
1999 – Spin editor sues Manson for $6 million, for allegedly roughing-up Marks backstage after a Marilyn Manson concert in New York in September of 1998. Manson files a countersuit. On that same date, Courtney Love confirmed to TRL that she and Manson would tour together. 
2004 - British magazine, Q, names Manson one of the craziest rockers of all time. His covering a fan in meat won third place, second only to Prince’s proselytizing as a Jehovah’s witness and Keith Moon being Keith Moon. 2005 – Manson’s paintings of the Black Dahlia Murders were shown in murder trial of a teenage boy accused of killing his girlfriend. 1997 - The Idaho Education Association held a press conference to urge parents not to allow children younger than 18 to attend the upcoming Manson concert. 
2001 – Manson parties at the Sunset Marquee club. 
2004 - Jonathan Davis, of Korn, plans a fighting video game with Manson as a character. 2001 - Manson performs Disposable Teens on the American Music Awards. On the same day, a Kentucky woman is cleared of fines resulting from her wearing a Marilyn Manson shirt (displaying the lyrics, “I am the God of Fuck”) at a Family festival in 1998. 2005 – Johnny Depp revealed that he based his character for the remake of Willy Wonka on Marilyn Manson. On the same day Jeordie White joined Nine Inch Nails. 1996 – Manson is stranded in an Allentown, Pennsylvania hotel due to a blizzard. But he was not alone. Others who were stuck there included Shaquille O'Neal and the cast of Sesame Street Live. 
1997 - Oklahomans contacted their governor, Frank Keating, hoping the governor could block the group's performance at the State Fairgrounds. He was powerless to stop them, but insisted that people boycott the show. 
1999 – Zim Zum appears on the Behind the Music special of Leif Garret. 
2001 – Manson answers accusations that the upcomming video for ‘The Fight Song' has a link to Columbine shootings. 
2004 – The first pictures from the (s)AINT video are displayed on Asia Argento's website. 1995 – The band’s first headlining tour begins in Houston, Texas, with Monster Voodoo Machine as supporting act. 
1997 – a Utah concert was cancelled, supposedly because the promoter started selling tickets before a contract was signed. Although afterward, the venue said they would ‘no longer restrict performances based on content.' Instead, Manson played at Wolf Mountain. 1996 – ‘Dirt’ played live for the first time, in Huntington, New York. 
1998 – Manson claims he was misquoted in a Spin Magazine interview. 1994 – The Chicken Incident, Dallas Texas. Manson knocked a caged chicken around the stage, and tossed it into the mosh pit. Although rumors claim that the chicken was killed, it actually escaped relatively unharmed. 
1996 – ‘Tourniquet’ played live for the first time, in Rochester, New York, along with ‘Irresponsible Hate Anthem’  
1997 – 'The Beautiful People' single was released in Australia, with bonus tracks 'Cryptorchid' and 'Snake Eyes And Sissies.' 1995 – The infamous Massacre bootleg was created from a show in Austin Texas. It is also known as the Monkey Massacre and the Manson Massacre. 1997 - Oklahomans for Children and Families (OCAF) petition the Oklahoma City Council to block Manson's upcoming Feburary 5 th show.  1998 – Manson made fashion designer, Blackwell's worst dressed women list. The only other men to ever grace this list were Milton Berle and Dennis Rodman. 1996 – Manson is interviewed by a reporter who asked questions by cutting words and pictures to index cards for Manson to respond to. Manson also reveals in an interview that the Spooky Kids song, Son of Man was their "first experimentation with music" ever. It became a demo. 
1997 – A riot erupted as 500 kids, queued outside the A&B Sound record store in Vancouver, were cleared out by police after pressure caused a plate-glass window to collapse. After waiting ten hours, many were not able to get their autographs. 
1998 – A Fort Lauderdale judge refused to dismiss Scott Putesky's lawsuit. Grr. 1997 – apparently everything is shitty. 
2001 – The Fight Song video mentioned on MTV News. On the same day, Manson’s autopsy video appears for the first time online, for those who did not buy the deluxe edition for Holy Wood. 
2005 – Ginger endorses a new brand of drumsticks for the upcoming Against All Gods tour, the first signal that he’s back in the band following the accident at the Comet Award show. 1997 – The Tourniquet video premieres on MTV.  2003 – Marilyn Manson week begins on K! TV. Every video that Manson had ever made was available for selection. 1996 – The first Manson tour date with Hanzel und Gretyl as the opening act. 
2001 – Manson and Rose McGowan's engagement is no more! Young female fans everywhere cheer. On the same day, Manson's art collaboration with P.R. Brown premieres in Las Angeles at The Gallery. 1999 – Craig Marks, (who had accused Manson of assault) was fired from his executive position at Spin Magazine due to the alleged doctoring of financial records. 
2006 - MarilynManson.com is seized by the Celebritarian Corporation. 1988 – Brian Warner submits the short story, All in the Family to Night Terrors Magazine. It would later be rejected. 
1998 – Texas fan arrested for wearing a Marilyn Manson t-shirt while shopping with his mom in a grocery store. 
2001 – Manson is first seen with Dita Von Teese at the Torture Garden club in Brixton. Young female fans everywhere stop their three days of cheering. 
2005 - John 5 is spotted at the NAMM trade show. 1999 – Manson wins Rolling Stone’s "Best Video" award for "The Dope Show", directed by Paul Hunter.
2005 – Ginger Fish attends a concert of former band member John 5’s new band, Loser, in Hollywood.  1999 – Manson appears at the Big Day Out festival in Australia. The resulting reviews commented on Manson's bare bottom. 
2001 – Manson conducts an autograph signing at the Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street, to coincide with his UK tour. 
2002 – Manson selected to sing on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack, for the song Redeemer, written by Korn frontman, Jonathan Davis. 
2003 – video preview of Para-Noir appears in Manson's journal.  
2005 – Jeordie White joins Nine Inch Nails as their new bassist. On the same day, Manson was interviewed by David Duchovny about his role in the video game, Area 51. 1995 – Manson performs live at the Snakepit in Slidell, California. The resorting bootleg, Ejacula, still remains one of the most popular MM bootlegs. 
2001 – ‘The Fight Song' video premiered on MTV, on TRL between 4-5 pm. 1997 – Quiet Riot plays at Manson's afterparty, leading to the band's reuniting. 
1998 – A Manson fan in New Braunfels, Texas, pleads not guilty to obscene display. His crime- wearing a Manson t-shirt while shopping with his mom at a grocery store. The ACLU defended him. 
1999 – nude pictures of Manson and Twiggy appear in gay S&M magazine, Honcho. The photographs were taken by Richard Kern, and were considered a late birthday tribute to Manson. 
2003 – animated Manson sings Food Pyramid Song on Clone High's second episode. On this same day, Macaulay Culkin bought Manson his first pack of cigarettes, Virginia Slims, and shows him how to smoke one.  
2005 – Manson re-releases The Nobodies, with Nine inch of Nails Drummer, Chris Vrenna on the track.  1999 – Cher seeks video advice from Manson, and received a vast array of technical advice stemming from what film and cameras to use, to who is a good director. 
2000 – Manson's self-portrait, entitled The Lamb of God, appeared on his website.   1997 - Manson attends Howard Stern's birthday party. 
2003 – Helnwein's photography of Marilyn Manson is in the Album Covers that Never Were hall of fame. 
2005 – Tsunami cancels the Manson concert in Bangkok, Thailand.   2001 - Marilyn Manson performs "The Way I Am" with Eminem, live, in Hamburg Germany. On this same day, the Valentine soundtrack is released, featuring (appropriately enough) ‘Valentine's Day.'
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

February   
1992 – Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids play at their first major label showcase event, which was recorded for the Miami Rocks/East Coast Music Forum Vol. 4 compilation cassette. 
2000 – the first use of the Mercury symbol online.  
2005 – Ginger Fish’s new sideproject, Martyr Plot, starts up. 1997 – concert at the New Mexico State University in Las Cruces was cancelled due to lack of security. People wondered why the venue didn't just contact a local security company. 
2005 – Press breaks that Manson’s song “Use your Fist and Not your Mouth” will be featured on the soundtrack to the video game, Cold Fear. On the same day, the Asian leg of Manson’s Against All Gods tour begins. 1997 – Manson mentioned by Pat Robertson on the 700 club's Anti-Manson show. "They are like sheep without a shepherd, and they're being herded."  
2003 – The official Manson bbs is replaced by the Oracle, where fans send their questions directly to Manson. 1997 – Paramedics refused to treat Manson with oxygen after a Lubbock concert because they didn't agree with his morals. 1997 – the Oklahoma City concert went on, despite protest. MTV News followed the protestors, and has used much of that same footage for many years afterwards. 
1999 – Stark, later to be Manson's head minister of propaganda, is given notice by Manson on the AOL message board. At 4:00 pm, Manson posts a long article against his elitist fans and ‘armchair rockstars.’  
2001 – Manson is arrested in Italy for indecency.  
2003 – Manson attends the premiere for the Animatrix, on the Warner Bros. Lot, working as a DJ. A few tracks from The Golden Age of Grotesque are slipped in.
2006 - MarilynManson.com updated with splash intro featuring two naked women. 1995 – Lunchbox single released. 
1999 – Manson first hints that he will be giving backstage passes to his true fans. This is written about in Alternative Press magazine over a year later as to how Manson always takes care of his own. On the same day, he also announces that the Metal Hammer interview is a fake, that Last Day on Earth would later appear in his film (which never happens) and several posts were made on Exegesis, involving the number 19. He also appears on Rage. 
2001 – Manson cited for public indecency after performing at the Palaghiaccio in Rome. He was detained for the night. 
2002 – First ever journal post on marilynmanson.com. 1995 – The Spooky Kids song, White Knuckles was played live in Toronto. 1997 – Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Elmbrook Middle School banned the ‘Marilyn Manson look' includes black lipstick, fishnet stockings, white face paint, pentagram jewelry, and the band's T-shirts. On the same day, the infamous MTV news broadcast about Manson’s Oklahoma show first aired. This has, of course, been replayed far more times than necessary. 
2002 – First photo of Lilly White posted by Manson online.  1997 - David Spade's "Hollywood Minute" sketch on Saturday Night Live left this message for Manson: "Uhhh...Marilyn Manson, Satan called and said your videos are giving him nightmares. Could you tone it down a little?" On the same day, the band’s story was told on FAX on Much Music. 
2001 – Manson won Best Metal Act from NME's annual Carling Awards, beating out Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, At the Drive-In, and Queens of the Stone Age.
2006 – John 5's band, Loser, begins tour with Staind. 1995 – Manson interviewed by Rage. On the same day, Rock and Roll Nigger and White knuckles were played at a Cambridge MA show. 
1997 - A Fitchburg family pickets at the Wallace Civic Center. Father Richard Reilly is the first to make the false claim that MM sells T-shirts saying "Kill Your Parents". 
1999 – Manson thanks his fans for their poetry, and his post contains the first mention of the bullet metaphor that will eventually become ‘The Love Song’  
2002 – Resident Evil track listing revealed on Manson's journal.    1998 – Dead to the World concert video released. 1996 – Manson interviewed on MTV Europe’s Headbangers Ball.  
2003 – Manson appears on the Osbournes. On the same day, now ex-bassist, Jeordie White, joins A Perfect Circle. 2002 – Manson on VH1's premiere episode of Driven. 1998 – Manson featured on MTV live about Long Hard Road out of Hell. This was Friday the Thirteenth, and it was Manson's first major MTV studio appearance. 1997 – supposed live performances of "Irresponsible Hate Anthem," and "Born Again"  
1997 - In real life, Manson and Missi had their falling out. On this same date, the first supposedly Manson-related suicide occurred. Ben Bratt, age 13, of Pollock Pines, CA, hung himself with a guitar string. He was actually listening to the Sex Pistols when he committed suicide, and carved the name "Sid Vicious" into his chest, but his parents blamed Manson. 
1998 - Manson's autobiography "The Long Hard Road Out of Hell" goes on sale. The first bookstore appearance is midnight on Valentine's Day. 
2000 - cover of Charles Manson's "Sick City" was released as a gift during the recording of Holy Wood.  
2001 - ThisAsValentinesDay.com is launched and finally previews Chapter 10 of Holy Wood via a hidden link off of Marina Oswald's broach. 
2002 - Journal post with two new videos of Lily White 'I will love you until I die' and 'I love you with all of my heart.' 
2003 - Journal post, 'Valentine's Day Brings Us A New Taste Of Eonism' which showed "The Bright Young Things" the first band photo from The Golden Age Of Grotesque as well as "The Mechanism Of Desire" showcasing the new aesthetics and previews the song "Baboon Rape Party." 
2005 – the re-released video for “The Nobodies” premieres. 1997- Manson on CNN special, Deeper than Hell.  
2001 – Manson's art collaboration with P.R. Brown, at The Gallery, ends after its one-month exhibition. 1997 – Manson featured in ‘The Miracles of Jesus, Vol 3'  
1999 – Manson proposes to Rose McGowan, while she was in a bathtub surrounded by candles. The news was first released by Rose on Howard Stern that morning.  1997 – Pittsburgh station, WTAE, featured Manson in a special entitled “Shock Rock” which focused on explicit lyrics and why they are harmful to children. Alongside Manson, Tupac Shakur was also featured. 
1999 – I don't like the Drugs but the Drugs like Me single released.  
2002 – Manson and Dita go on a date to the Swank show at the El Rey Theater. 1997 – the soundtrack for the film, Lost Highway, is released, featuring Apple of Sodom and I put a Spell on You.  
2003 – Golden Age of Grotesque track listing and release date revealed.  
2004 – The Manson crotch civil case, involving Security guard Joshua Keasler, ended in a settlement. 1998 - Manson interviewed on David Letterman about Long Hard Road out of Hell. 
1999 – Scott Putesky (formerly Daisy Berkowitz) leaves Jack Off Jill. On this same date, MTV features a long report on the lawsuit against Manson. Daisy still holds the rights to all the Spooky Kids songs. 
2000 - Marilyn Manson speaks at Disinfo.com. 
2001 – 'The Fight Song' single released. 
2003 – Manson posts in the Oracle that the Golden Age of Grotesque “is the Marilyn Manson I have been dreaming to be always.” 1999 – Manson shoots Coma White video with director Samuel Bayer. 1997 – Lost Highway, starring Manson and Twiggy, opens in limited release in Canada. 
2001 – Manson nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, for ‘Astonishing Panorama of the Endtimes' from the Celebrity Deathmatch Soundtrack. He did not win. 
2002 – ‘Tainted Love' reached the BBC Radio 1's A-List, positioning it to become a major single overseas.   1995- Marilyn Manson appears on the Donahue show. 1999 – Rock is Dead video filmed live, during LA rehearsals. 2003 – Manson posts in the Oracle that "The music will be brighter and bigger. The band is my gun and they are as tight as my finger on the trigger. We have wiped the slate clean. All erasers will be dusted and fingernails will be applied to the chalkboard. I will give you kiss, kiss...bang, bang." 1997 – The Private Parts soundtrack is released, with the original Manson song, ‘Suck for your Solution’. 
1999 – Mechanical Animals goes Platinum after 6 months on the charts. 
2002 – Linkin Park requested a collaboration from Manson for their next release. 
2003 – Manson posts in the Oracle that he will plan on using several completely different styles of singing on the new album.  1997 – Manson and Twiggy are spotted at the 39th annual Grammy Awards, with Pat Boone. 1991 - first and only time big mother and Cabeza De Bosque were played. 
1997 – Manson attends Howard Stern's Private Parts movie premiere. He contributed ‘The Suck for your Solution' to the soundtrack. 1997 – David Lynch's film, Lost Highway opens nationwide, starring Manson and Twiggy as porn stars 1 & 2 respectively. Manson's song ‘I put a Spell on You' appeared on the film's soundtrack. That night, Joan Rivers joined Manson and Twiggy on the Howard Stern show. They discussed Lost Highway and how much Joan obviously wanted to blow Stern. On the same day, a Manson interview played on MTV about the Private Parts movie. He said, “At the very end when they played our song, that was my other favorite part, because I'm self-aggrandizing." 
1998 – Manson is on Mattrock for the second part of a two part series. 
1999 – Manson's North American tour with Hole and Monster Magnet begins, and Mechanical Animals is rated as the 13th best album of 1998.

March 1999 – Manson's tour with Hole kicks off with technical difficulties from the cross of television screens. On the same date, Manson also graces the cover of Alternative Press Magazine. I always liked those cover shots best. 2003 – Manson posts in the Oracle, "Every song is different. This new album was the most eclectic production yet." 1999- Manson posts on his bbs about troubles with Hole. 1995 - At a show, Sarah Lee Lucas' Drum kit exploded while he was sitting on it. Manson actually poured lighter fluid on it, set it ablaze, and the drummer was ‘fired' in a sense. 1995 – Madonna Wayne Gacy invented the phrase, “Kill the Chicken” in Columbia, South Carolina. The band was hazed, being forced to perform on a stage littered with raw chicken parts. He also invented the phrase, “Next Motherfucker's gonna get my chicken!” That same night, Manson slipped and fell on a beer bottle. He took a piece of the bottle and slashed his chest with it, marking his first real act of self-mutilation in front of people. This was the final date of their first ever headlining tour. It was also the final show for their drummer, Freddy. On this same date, an interview with Manson and Twiggy aired on MTV Superock.  
1997 – According to his journal, Manson felt like someone who he wouldn't let his own daughter fuck, and feels like someone, who if he was that daughter, he would want to fuck more than anyone else. 
2002 – The soundtrack to Queen of the Damned is released, featuring Manson’s song, ‘Redeemer’ 2002 – Resident Evil soundtrack premieres. Manson provided 5 songs, including the slipknot remix of The Fight Song. Manson also attended the premiere, with soon to be bassist, Tim Skold, and guitarist, John 5. 2002 – First audio samples of the Golden Age of Grotesque revealed. The song title for Use your Fist and Not your Mouth was revealed. 1999 – Manson sprains his ankle during a concert. The show ends after 'Rock is Dead'  
2001- Manson first parodied on the Andy Dick show. 1988 - Brian Warner received a rejection letter from Night Terrors Magazine regarding his submission, All in the Family. 
1999 – Manson forced to postpone two tour dates due to the sprained ankle he suffered the night before. If he can't walk, pretty much, he can't perform. Manson also phones TRL to talk about the injury. 1997 – Ozzfest tour dates are announced. 
1999 – Manson and Hole tour split, and MTV's 1515 covers it. Dick Armey, a Republican U.S. Representative from north Dallas, strongly asked a Dallas venue to consider "the potential negative consequences that this concert could have on our children and our community." On the same day, Ginger Fish and John 5 were spotted at a Motochrist Show.  
2000 – Manson opens a fan gallery on his website.  
2001 – Manson appears on MTV's Testimony: 20 years of Rock, for their 20th anniversary year. The show premiered at noon. 1999 – Former Daisy Berkowitz backs up 18 year old Michal Towber at the SxSW music conference in Austin, Texas.  
2002 – Tainted Love single released 1997 – Manson appears on New Zealand’s, Paul Holmes show, Nightline, and Max TV. 
1999 – Manson on Howard Stern. 2001 – The Supreme court upheld the ruling that a school official has the ability to ban someone from school for wearing a Manson t-shirt. Nicholas J. Boroff was banned from Van Wert High School in Van Wert, Ohio, in August 1997. 
2004 - Manson ranked #6 in Revolver Magazine's '100 Greatest Live Rock Acts of All-Time.'  1997 – Manson underwent surgery due to gashing open an artery when he fell on stage in Honolulu, Hawaii. There's still speculation over whether he collapsed from exhaustion, he was hyperventilating due to the tightness of his corset, or that he just slipped.  
2001 – The Guns God and Government World tour wraps up in Nagoya, Japan. On this date, Manson was also asked to bow out of the upcoming Ozzfest date in Denver. He would later go on to play, as well as read bible verses. 
2003 – Shooting for the mOBSCENE video begins at the Henry Fonda Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. 
2004 - Female fans all weep. Manson got down on one knee, and presented Dita with a seven carat European cut vintage diamond ring, and asked for her hand in marriage!!! 1995- Manson is fed Crystal Meth by a girl who told him it was cocaine. He vomited through the entire show and couldn’t sleep for the next day. 1995 – Manson's tour with Danzig and Korn began, and Manson met Tony Wiggins, their bus driver, who would later provide many heinous moments. The show also marked Manson’s second on-stage act of self-mutilation. A bottle hit him in the face that night, and he responded by taking the broken piece and plunging it into the side of his chest.  
2003 – the opening and ending scenes of mOBSCENE are filmed at Vasquez Rocks, about an hour north of Los Angeles. 1997 - The Biloxi City Council voted unanimously to ask the state to ban Manson's Mississippi Coast Coliseum show. State law forbids alcohol sale during sexually explicit performances, so if Manson's show turned out to violate lewdness laws, the Council wanted the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Division to revoke the venue's liquor license. And that didn't really make any sense. On the same day, the Nowhere soundtrack is released, featuring ‘Kiddie Grinder.'  
1999 – First Mechanical Animals tour date to feature Jack Off Jill as special guests. Zim Zum, no longer a band member, attends a Korn concert instead. 2002 – This is officially the first day of Manson's "Golden Age", as he announces it. The first journal post to show Manson's artwork is also revealed. 1999 – Rock is Dead premieres at 2:00 EST on MTV’s Spankin’ New Music weekend.  
2000 – Manson backs off the Doors Tribute album, even after recording a cover of ‘5 to 1'  
2004 - Ironically, Manson's essay on Jim Morrison is published in Rolling Stone's series on the The Immortals, The Fifty Greatest Artists Of All Time. 1988 - A young Brian Warner submitted the poems, Piece de Resistance, Stained Glass, and Hotel Hallucinogen.  
2002 – Manson's appearance on Fox News' O'Riely factor was replayed. If you didn't get to see him one-up that asshole the first time, you got to see it then. It's well worth mentioning twice. 
2004 - Manson is cited as an inspiration for the Passion of Christ's character of Satan (Death). 2001 – Manson's official Artist Direct bulletin board went down. A new temporary version was created later that day. On the same day, Manson attended the premiere party for Blow at the Chinese Theater. 
2003 – The photographer of a Q magazine shoot gets to see an edit of mOBSCENE and receives a copy of the new album. Its things like this that make me want press access even more badly.  1997 – TBS’s TopX discussed Manson’s influence on music. 2004 – Guitarist John 5 officially left Marilyn Manson, according to the band's official webpage. As seen in Manson's journal entry, 'No Salvation, No Forgiveness,' Bassist Tim Skold accepts the role as lead guitarist for a short time. The first news also breaks about Manson’s eventual ‘best of’ album, Lest we Forget. It's my job to sort of cleanse the world of its sins." 1999 – First Mechanical Animals tour date with Nashville Pussy filling the spot left from Hole’s departure from the bill. 
2002 – Jennifer Syme's mother files wrongful death lawsuit against Marilyn Manson under the California Health and Safety Code's Drug Dealer Liability Act, seeking $25,000 in damages and fees.  2002 – WWF Forcible Entry soundtrack, which includes Manson, is released. 1997 – Interview on MTV news with Floria Sigusmondi, director of the Beautiful People and Tourniquet. On the same date, video footage was shot for the Dead to the World video, at Pittsburg USA. 
2003 – Manson reveals the artwork for The Golden Age of Grotesque, photographed by Gottfried Helnwein.  1997 – First Dead to the World tour date with New York Loose as the opening act. 1999 – Kentucky woman looses an appeal against fines resulting from her wearing a Marilyn Manson shirt (displaying the lyrics, “I am the God of Fuck”) at a Family festival in 1998. She goes on to win a later appeal, though.  1997 – Manson arrives in Normal, Illinois. And wants to kill anyone who thinks that town is anyone's idea of normal.

2004 - John 5 is interviewed by MTV news about leaving the band, and reports that he doesn't know what he did to cause Manson to hate him so much. However, he did say, if he were ever invited back into the band, he would rejoin. 1994 - On the Chicago stop of the tour, Manson tries cocaine for the first time, in Trent Reznor’s dressing room.  
1999 – Monster Magnet, after playing extra dates to cover in the space left by Hole's departure, finally left Manson's tour. 
2004 - John-5.com, the official John Lowery website returns to the web. It was originally taken down after Manson requested all official band communication go through marilynmanson.com.  1997 - First Dead to the World tour date with Helmet as the opening act. After playing 45 minutes, they stormed off stage. The rest of the Mid-South Coliseum show was cancelled due to technical difficulties, including a broken drum machine loop. The marketing director mentioned, “From what I understand, this happens regularly. The show length is up to Marilyn's artistic whims.” 
2003 - Manson is in Milan to present videos for the Golden Age of Grotesque. 1997 - Rev. Dana Wilson petitioned Saginaw City authorities with over 20,000 signatures supporting a proposal which would place the same restrictions on a Marilyn Manson show that govern admission to R-rated movies.  
2002 – Manson announces that he will file a countersuit against Jennifer Syme's mother's wrongful death suit.  2000 – Nine Inch Nails shoots ‘Starfuckers Inc' which features Manson in drag.  
2002 – Kerrang Readers poll votes Manson as #1 for “Coolest Star”  1997 – South Carolina concert, set for April 20th, was cancelled due to problems with the lighting rig. On the same day, the state legislators instigated a bill that would prevent specifically Marilyn Manson from performing at a state facility. Manson answered with, "What do you expect from a state that still flies the Confederate flag?" 2000 – Posthuman Records officially opens for business.  
2002 – Manson helps induct Ozzy into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, delivering a speech at the sidewalk ceremony. 
2003 – Manson appears on Tout le Monde en Parle.  1999 – Concert in Cleveland, Ohio was recorded for ‘The Last Tour on Earth’ live CD.  
2002 – Manson makes MTV's most controversial countdown, at #17 1997 – Zim Zum swung his guitar over the drum kit, and smashed Ginger Fish’s hand with it. Fortunately, the only thing that got broken was the guitar. 1996 – Manson on MTV 120 minutes. 
1997 – Manson on MTV Headbangers Ball, Latin America. On the same day, the ALCU backs Manson as Richmond Virginia prepares to cancel the concert.  
2003 – The Golden Age of Grotesque Launch party at London's Rouge Nightclub. Models walked around the venue all night in their underwear, Dita stripped in a martini glass, and Manson performed a special, three song cabaret set which included 'The Dope Show', a cover of the Kurt Weil classic 'Whiskey Song' and 'The Golden Age Of Grotesque'.  1993 – A spooky kids show includes an alternate version of the Get Your Gunn chorus, and a rare performance of Sweet Tooth. 1997 – Ozzy issued a statement defending Manson: "I will not be putting any limits on any of the Ozzfests."  
2003 – mOBSCENE video premieres on MuchMusic USA at 6:00 pm. 1995 – the first parts of Abuse were recorded on a video camera with Tony Wiggins. Manson received a t-shirt from that girl. It said “God is Dead” on the front, and “Nietzsche is dead” on the back. 
2002 – Manson listed as #7 for VH1's Too Hot to Handle countdown. 1998 – Scott Putesky joined the band Jack Off Jill. 
1999 – Marilyn Manson is blamed for the Columbine shootings in Littleton, Colorado. The shootings, however, were more likely to be tied to Hitler's birthday, rather than to Manson.  
2001 – At exactly 12:49, Manson re-registered his avatar at the official BBS.  
2004 - Scott Putesky releases the Spooky Kids material that he won in the lawsuits during 1997-1998. Smart Manson fans everywhere probably downloaded them already and don't really care. 1999 – Manson discusses a Dope Show remix with Master P. On the same day, Attorney Paul J. Cambria Jr. disclaims any connection between Manson’s music and the Columbine killers. Obviously, nobody listened to him, given the media hype. 1997 – Richmond Virginia city council overturned the city manager's decision to ban Manson's May 10th concert there.  
1999 – Manson calls off a Denver concert in honor of those who were killed in the Columbine shootings.  
2003 – mOBSCENE is released as a single. That same day, Manson asks the audience of the Radio One talk show whether the next single should be This is the New Shit or (s)AINT. The fans picked the former, which is extremely ironic if you know what the song was written for.  
2004 – Manson meets David Bowie, backstage at a concert. They "agreed to work on a song together for my next record when my tour's over." 2002 – Twiggy plays bass for Mondo Generator, a Queens of the Stone Age side project. He wears a monkey mask on the stage. 1997 - Manson's lawyer writes a letter to the American Family Association, claiming defamation of character. They need to cease all affidavits.  
2002 – ‘The Fight Song' was featured on CSI on CBS at 9:00 pm. It was blasted by the DNA specialist, Greg Sanders, as he did his work. 
2007 - Marilyn Manson now has an official myspace page. 1992 - After opening a canister with dead crickets - now known as The Cricket Massacre - Manson threw up right on stage, causing at least half a dozen people (including Jeordie White) in the audience to do the same thing. This is also the show recorded for the 'Live as Hell' demo. 
2001 – Manson finishes filming ‘the Nobodies' with director Paul Fedor. 
2002 – Manson makes the cover of Metal Hammer's 100 th issue. The magazine also features 6 pages of color photos and an exclusive interview with the band.

1990 - Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids play their first booking at Churchill's Hideaway, in Miami. Their first manager, John Tovar, is in the audience, and they open for a band called The Goods.  
1997 – Manson files a law suit against the New Jersey Sports and Exhibition Authority, which refused to sell tickets to its June 15 Ozzfest '97 Meadowlands show if Manson remained on the bill. 
1999 – Out of respect for those killed at Columbine, Manson cancels the rest of his tour dates.

2007 - Manson's album 'Eat me, Drink Me' was released, debuting at number 2 on the Billboard Hard Music chart. 2000 – Manson appears in Eminem's video for ‘The Way I am' during the verse where the rapper rhymes Marilyn with Heroin. On the same day, supposedly inspired by Manson, three young girls murder Sister Maria-Laura Mainetti, a 61-year-old Italian nun.  
2003- Manson on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross 1999 – Manson attended the taping of the MTV Movie Awards with fiancée, actress Rose McGowan. 
2002- Manson and Dita attend another Pussycat Dolls dance show at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood. 1999 – first plans for turning Holy Wood into a script surface. Of course, we're all still waiting on that script.  2001 – Ozzfest tour begins. This is Manson’s second time with Ozzfest. 1994 – Manson's first studio single, Get Your Gunn, released. The video also premiered that day. 
2007 - Manson interviewed on British music show, Popworld. On the same day, he played at the Download festival. 2004 – Manson’s journal published in Rolling Stone magazine. 2004 – An Asia Argento fan site features the first video clip of Manson as Jackson in the Heart is Deceitful Above All Things. 1997 - Manson's first gig with Ozzfest 97' at Giants Stadium hailed with animosity although the venues management threatened to cancel the show but the decision was dismissed in court after a counter lawsuit was filed from Marilyn and the festivals founder, Ozzy Osbourne.

2004 - Brazilian artist Camille Kachani’s new piece 'Marilyn Manson News' (a collage of newspaper shreds making Manson’s face) is shown during the 'From Brazil: Palmo Quadrado' exhibition, at the Palo Alto Art Center in California. 1994 – the band plays an acoustic set featuring Sweet Dreams and I put a Spell on You, at a listening party at Fort Lauderdale's club, Squeeze.

  2007 - Manson performs on stage alongside Alice Cooper in Romania. 1990 – Gidget Gien’s band debut, as they open for Nine Inch Nails. He learned the songs only a week before. Reportedly, after the gig, Manson, high on drugs, thrusts a tape into Trent Reznor's hand and leaves. 
1994 – Slammy Awards. Manson headlined the show and the band won their second "Grand Slammie" for Band of the Year. Manson also won that year's skull (plus a free tattoo) for Best Vocalist. 1990 – Manson takes acid in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and in a moment, all those facts were obliterated. 2002 – Manson hospitalized for ‘going too far' in the creative process. He got paint in his eye or something. 
2007 - News breaks of a Mansinthe absinthe to hit the market soon. 2003 – Pogo yells at fans who want his autograph. This seems rather mean, until you also notice that he has a bandaged and broken right hand. The cast has the phrase “I’m Dumb” written on it at some point. Rumor has it, he punched a wall. 1988 - Brian Warner finally receives the rejection letter for the poems, Piece De Resistance, Stained Glass, and Hotel Hallucinogen from the editor of Night Terrors Magazine.  
2003 – An amazing MTV.com feature entitled, ‘Marilyn Manson is the Only True Artist Today' is published online. 1990 – Pogo finally obtains a keyboard, after sitting onstage for weeks playing with toy soldiers. 2001 – Ozzfest 2001 compilation CD is released, featuring ‘The Love Song'. 2003 – Pogo has surgery on his hand, causing a concert to be cancelled. On the same night, Party Monster premieres in Hollywood. 1994 - Bands label debut album "Portrait of an American Family" is released.  
1999 – The New Radicals (whose only hit song features the line “Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson/Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson/You're all fakes, run to your mansions/Come around, we'll kick your ass in.”) broke up. 1998 – A bill that would make it illegal for minors to attend concerts considered harmful by local leaders failed to pass through the Michigan legislature. The politicians embarrassed themselves even more by calling Marilyn Manson, ‘she.' 1998 – Manson interviewed on Howard Stern. 
1999 – Manson signs a deal with New Line Cinema to co-write, star in and provide music for the Holy Wood movie. Unfortunately, it never happens. 1979 – The KISS dynasty tour stops in Ohio. This was young Brian Warner’s first ever concert-going experience. He was 10 years old. 1990 - Sara Lee Lucas replaces Daisy's Yamaha RX8 drum machine. He is credited 'baked goods and percussion' in the next band newsletter, ‘The Family Trip to Mortville.’ 1998 – Mechanical Animals title, track list, and release date is set. 
2002 – Manson on MTV Ozzfest uncensored.   
2007 - Manson plays 'Putting Holes in Happiness' on Jay Leno. 1997 – The Portland show at La Luna was cancelled because the venue was unable to get insurance due to Manson's reputation.  
1998 – John Lowery joins the band as John 5, replacing guitarist Zim Zum. 
2007 - Marilyn Manson interviewed in Revolver Magazine and on Ultimate-guitar.com 2002 – first Party Monster pictures of Manson as Christina appear online. 1997 – Vancouver show in the Max Bell Arena was cancelled due to pressure from civic and church groups. Their decision would later cost them $43,756.
2007 - Manson's US tour begins in Palm Beach, Florida. 1996 - Manson and Twiggy visit West Edmonton Mall, the biggest mall in the world. Twiggy reportedly bought over $250 worth of CD's, including Elvis ones, and both went to see the dolphin show.  
2001 – Twiggy's Crib featured on the show MTV cribs, Ozzfest edition, which premiered at 6:30 pm. 1996 – Sweet Dreams was finally released as a single. 
2005 – US Weekly reports on Manson’s series of Horripulation films. 1999 – Manson says hello “from the depths of Holy Wood.” This is the first mention of that term ever. He also identifies Jesus Christ as the Magician, making this the first mention of tarot card imagery as well. 1994 – first tour date opening for Nine Inch Nails.  
1997 – the last date for Manson’s first round of Ozzfest. On the same date, the Spawn soundtrack, featuring Marilyn Manson's ‘The Long Hard Road out of Hell' was released.  
1999 – Fan conference held online. Manson thanks his fans, translating Abracadabra as "I will create as I speak." 1998 – Marilyn Manson was an answer on Jeopardy. Contestant Oliver Stone got the answer wrong.  
2001 – Manson supposedly rubbed his crotch on the head of security guard Joshua Keasler during the show at the DTE Energy Music Theater. 1971 – Birthday! John 5 (John Lowery)  
1997 – Manson was warned by the Toronto police not to sing ‘Rock and Roll Nigger,' so he invited his black friend, Corey, to come sing it with him on stage to piss them off. Video footage was also shot for the Dead to the World video. 
1998 - KEGL 97.1 in Dallas, Texas plays a bootlegged copy of the Dope Show at 11:55 pm. They couldn’t say who it was from, so they just said "it rhymes with Hanson".

1992- Band name shortened to Marilyn Manson. Their first show with the shortened name was at Midnight that morning. 2000 – Holy Wood track list and release date are revealed. 1998 – Auditions begin for the Dope Show video shoot.  
1999 – Detroit Rock City soundtrack is released, featuring Manson's cover of AC/DC's ‘Highway to Hell' 1998 – Dead man on Campus soundtrack is released, including Manson's cover of David Bowie's ‘Golden Years' and a collaboration between Twiggy Ramirez and Twiggy, the model, on ‘I only want to be with you.' 2000 – Manson's first interview in preparation for the release of Holy Wood, in Kerrang Magazine. 
2005 – Manson on Entertainment Tonight, discussing his role in the upcoming film, Rise. 1998 – Manson shoots the video for ‘The Dope Show' with director Paul Hunter.  
1999 – The final date of touring in promotion of Mechanical Animals. The international tour wraps up in Fuji-Yoshida, Japan. 
2001 – The mother of the first Columbine victim joins an Anti-Manson group in Scotland, boycotting his Glasgow gig. 1997 – the meat incident was transcribed for Manson’s autobiography.  
2003- This is the New Shit video premiered on MTV2. 2002 – The Guns God and Government Pay Per View special aired at 10 pm. 2001 – The last date for Manson’s second tour on Ozzfest.  
2004 – The cover art and track listing for ‘Lest We Forget’ are revealed. 1997 – Manson appears on Politically Incorrect.  
2003 - Manson interviewed by Conan O'Brien, and he paints lipstick on Conan. 1998 – chains like Wal Mart and K Mart refuse to sell Mechanical Animals due to the cover art. The label is forced to make a censored cover obscuring Manson's already nipple-less breasts.  
2001 – The Love Song is released on the Ozzfest: 2001 The Second Millenium compilation CD.  2000 – the cover for Manson’s still unpublished novel for Holy Wood was revealed. 1997 – The Bizarre Festival in Cologne Germany. features a very sloppy Zim Zum performance. No doubt, Manson was not proud. 
1999 – Manson announces the end of the Mechanical Animals era from the Kern Gate and Death Valley, and puts the stage items up for auction. A portion of the proceeds will go to charity. And he signs his post ‘the Third and Final Beast’ for the first time.  
2000 – Audio samples for Cruci-fiction in Space first appeared on cruci-fictioninspace.com.  
2001 – Manson is accused for the first time of rubbing his crotch on a security guard's head.  
2003 - Manson on MTV Headbangers Ball, Ozzfest special. 1997 – While in Germany, Manson came down with food poisoning. The show for that night had to be cancelled.  
2002 – Beat the Devil, a short film that Marilyn Manson appeared in, premieres in Los Angeles, and on the web, where it can be downloaded from BMW films. 1998 – a spokesperson at Manson’s label dispels the rumor that Manson got actual breast implants for the Mechanical Animals album.  
2001 – Manson plays at the Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo, Japan. 2001 – Manson plays at the Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka, Japan. 2001 – Manson appears on Fox News' The O'Riely Factor, and then proceeds to one-up that asshole of a host. WOO HOO! The actual interview was cut short due to the charges involving Manson's crotch and a security guard's head. 
2002 – Ramones Tribute album, including Manson's cover of ‘The KKK took my Baby Away' is finalized by Rob Zombie. On this same day, Andy Dick released his album, ‘Andy Dick and the Bitches of the Century' which Manson painted the cover for.  
2003 – Manson attends a New York City show where his girlfriend, Dita Von Teese, strips. 1995 – The video for Dope Hat, directed by Tom Stern, premieres. 1997 – Manson is a special guest at a Metallica show in Stuttgart, Germany. 
1998 – The video for 'The Dope Show' premieres at 11:00 am, on the Carson Daly show. News also breaks that Manson will not change the cover of Mechanical Animals. Instead, the cover will be covered with dark blue shrink wrap. 1997 – Manson performs at the Pukkelpop Festival. Nothing really special happens. I just thought that was a really cool name for a festival. 1999 – Manson puts his childhood car up for auction.  
2000 – Audio samples from Burning Flag appear on yourburningflag.com. On this same day, the Holy Wood track listing was revealed in U.K. magazine, Dazed and Confused.  2001 – Manson plays at the Gig on the Green, in Glasgow.  
2003 – A Manson figure appears on the VMA Carousel for the MTV Video Music Awards side show.
2005 - Manson given the Icon award by Kerrang Magazine. 2005 – Manson receives Kerrang’s Icon award, the second one ever given. 2001 – The Nobodies single is released. 
2002 – Manson wins a Kerrang Award for best video, ‘Tainted Love'  1998 – Manson cuts the ribbon at a New York Virgin Records store, staying only a few minutes. 
2000 – Manson flies to the UK and sees Queens of the Stone Age at the London Highbury Garage. 
2001 – Manson won the Kerrang! Award for Best Album, collecting the prize from Rob Halford in the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, UK. The entire band then went to the party at the Rock club to celebrate.  
2002 – Manson helps out the Make a Wish foundation; video of the studio session appears in his online journal. Journal also includes preview of This is the New Shit 1991 – Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids play a show with Amboog-a-lard. The flyer called the show, Clash of the Morons.  
2000 - Marilyn Manson wins Kerrang Magazine's Hall of Fame award. On the same day, Nothing and Interscope Records confirm that Manson will cover the John Lennon song, ‘Working Class Hero’ on a B-side. 
2001 – a Russian commercial parodies Manson, in order to sell a new chocolate bar called ‘Shock'  
2004 – Manson’s open-bottomed bustier worn during the Beautiful People performance is named as the 10th most memorable VMA moment. But the New York Newsday got the year of that performance wrong. 2004 – John 5’s first solo album, Vertigo, debuts.

1999 – Launch.yahoo.com features a wonderful interview about Manson’s childhood. 
2003 – This is the New Shit single is released.  2003 – Party Monster soundtrack released, featuring Marilyn Manson (as Christina) singing ‘The La La song' 2004 – ‘Personal Jesus’ becomes the #1 Most Added Rock Single this week in the US. 1997- Manson rehearses and performs the Beautiful People on the VMA. This is his first nationally broadcast televised performance. His entrance was marked by the presidential anthem, Hail to the Chief. His bare ass was mentioned in TV guide later that week. Comedian Chris Rock, closed Manson's performance and the show by shouting "Run to church right now! Get your asses to church or you're going to hell!"  
1998 –Manson appears in an Argentinian newspaper called Clarín. 
2001 – Manson attends the Rock Star movie premiere party with Dita. 
2002 – Manson's art show is previewed in Rolling Stone Magazine. 1996 – Zim Zum's first live show, in New York City, for Nothing Night. The show ended with Ginger Fish being hospitalized. Trent Reznor, pointedly did not thank Marilyn Manson for coming. 1996 – Manson on MTV 120 Minutes of Nothing 2000 – Manson spends a night on the town. 1997 – Manson's first concert in Brazil.

2004 – Manson appears on the Graham Norton Effect, and a new Manson rumor is started via Graham on air. 1994 – First show date with the Jim Rose Circus sideshow, in Muncie, Indiana.  
1998 – the song Posthuman becomes available for downloading online. But only for 5 days. It expires when the album comes out. On the same day, Manson also performs "The Dope Show" at the VMA's, giving America its first look at the androgynous MA persona. While at the VMA's, he had to drop by Dave Matthews’ dressing room to ask him for a pen.  
1999 – Bidding for Manson’s old car and autographed copies of Mechanical Animals ends at 3 pm and 5 pm respectfully. 1969 – Birthday! Gidget Gein (Brad Stewart) 1995 – The Smells Like Children tour begins in Tulsa Oklahoma, at Cain's Ballroom. The tour, dubbed the Snow Tour by Daisy, plagued Manson with so many respiratory ailments (including bronchial pneumonia), that he required an oxygen tank at his show.  
1998 – Manson appears on the cover of NME Magazine, in the gold bodysuit I like so much.  
2004 – Manson appears on NRJ Radio in France, from 9.00 to 9.45pm. 1999 – Coma White video premieres, after the delay caused by the tragic death of Robert Kennedy in July. The video was filmed in February. 2001 – Manson gave two statements to the official board about the 9/11 tragedy. 1998 - Manson, Pogo and Twiggy appear live on Manson TV on MTV. Press releases also announce that Manson will cover the Dr. Hook song ‘Get my Rocks Off’ for the ‘I don’t like the drugs’ single.  
2004 – Manson’s second art exhibit, "Trismegistus", appears in Paris France, at the Hotel Lutetia. 1998 - "Mechanical Animals" is Released. The new site ComaWhite.com was revealed as well as the premiere of the new Official MarilynManson.net. On this same day, two Manson items were put on auction, including the white fur jacket worn by Ginger in the Tourniquet video and an autographed copy of Mechanical Animals. 
2004 – Pogo hits his head getting into a van after the band plays 'Personal Jesus' for French TV show Hit Machine 2001 – From Hell Soundtrack released, featuring Manson's song, ‘The Nobodies' Wormwood Mix. 1997 – The final date for the Dead to the World tour, and the last tour diary entry written for Long Hard Road out of Hell. At the Mexico City concert, Twiggy slashed his hand open while smashing his bass.  
1998 – Manson on CNN’s ‘newsstand: Entertainment Weekly.’ 
2004 – Manson hosts a live tribute to the Cure as part of MTV’s ICON series. On the same night, the first "Lest We Forget" listening party is held at The Egg in London. 1998 – backwards masking discovered on my favorite song, ‘The Last Day on Earth’ to be “I’m still not there.” On the same day, Manson is in London promoting the new album.  
2004 – The question "The Golden Age of Grotesque was a 2003 album by artist Marilyn who?" is asked on the game show, The Weakest Link. TV Sports Presenter contestant 'Bev' knew the answer. On the same day, Manson received a toaster as an early wedding gift on PopWorld. 1998 – Manson featured on NBC’s Dateline in a program about violence, but was NOT blamed for anything. Now that’s news. 1995 - Mr. Superstar was played first time ever. 1998 – Manson graced a full page spread of the New York Times.  1999 – Manson’s Coma White video premieres on TRL, by the next day, it was on the countdown at number 10.

2004 – On the German TV show, TV Total, Manson runs out from beside the camera holding a cue card! Communication majors around the world laugh their heads off! 1998 – Mechanical Animals closes its first week on the Billboard charts at Number 1! A week later, it drops to number 5. Nice coincidence.  
2004 – Manson graces the cover of NME Magazine 1997 – Scott Putesky (formerly Daisy Berkowitz) sues Manson, and starts a procedure that continues in court for a very very long time.  
1998 – Manson warns the bbs members not to get out of hand. Like that works… 
2002 – Marilyn Manson's art is featured on MTV.  
2004 – Manson performs ‘Personal Jesus’ for the first time, at the German awards show, Comet. During this show, Ginger Fish breaks his arm and nose when by falling off a raised stage. The awards show is delayed for twenty minutes. On the same date, an exhibition by Pierre et Gilles, featuring Manson and Dita, opens. 1998 – Scott Putesky posts a message on Manson's original online forum with: “ but always remember Brian and I will meet once again, on his way down and my way up....... just wait you shall see...” Manson followed up with “we will never meet again. You will never meet these wonderful people again.”   
2000 – Holy Wood cover art was announced.  
2001 – A probably stoned Twiggy enjoys a street musician’s concert. 1998 – Manson interviewed on Howard Stern. On the same day, Manson holds an unannounced chat session on his website, and encourages fans to look deeper into his work. 
1999 – fans who found Coma White offensive went to the press with their concerns: "It is profoundly disturbing that an important figure of today's pop culture would exploit an American tragedy in this manner..."   
2000 – Manson sues to stop the public showings of the Unauthorized biography, ‘Demystifying the Devil’ at the New York Independent Film And Video Festival because it infringes upon his rights. 1994 – Manson's first soundtrack appearance ever, on the So Fucking What soundtrack, with Get your Gunn.  
1999 – Nine Inch Nails released ‘The Fragile’ in which one of their songs (Starfuckers Inc.) attacks Manson.  
2004 – Manson is interviewed on Radio station DC101’s Marilyn Manson Day. He talks about Ginger’s injuries, and hints at who will fill in for him during the tour: (Hint - he played drums on Antichrist Superstar). 1965 – Birthday! Ginger Fish, (Franklin Kenneth Wilson)  
1998 – Ginger Fish attends a WWF wrestling match in Detroit, and signed autographs for his favorite wrestlers. 
2004 – Manson’s best of album, “Lest We Forget” is released.  1995 – During a party, Twiggy and Manson smoked the bones (now known as Freddy after their first drummer) they gathered on Twiggy’s last birthday. Manson ended that night dreaming he was possessed by a Baptist minister from turn-of-the-century Louisiana. 
1996 – MTV’s 120 Minutes features their 120 minutes of Nothing show, featuring Nothing Records artists. Manson and Twiggy appeared to talk about their first show with Zim Zum. Plus there was a mention of Iron Maiden.  
1998 – a fan was hassled by Manson's management after catching John 5's guitar after the performance on the video music awards. John 5 said the person is free to keep it.  
2004 – Ticket presale for Manson’s Against All Gods tour begins. 1998 – Manson wishes Brad Stewart’s band the best of luck and posts documents involving Zim Zum’s termination from the band.

On the same day, Mechanical Animals was released in Germany. 1996 – The Dead to the World tour begins.  
2001 – News of the Manson crotch trial is printed on the newspage in Kerrang Magazine. On the same day, John 5 is a guest at Father Pussycat musician, Taime Downe’s birthday party at the Dragonfly. 
2002 – Manson attends the Rules of Attraction movie premiere.  
2004 – Chris Vrenna officially steps in to fill Ginger’s shoes while he recovers from injuries sustained during their performance in Cologne, Germany.  1998 – Manson asks to see pictures, art, and writing by his fans posted to the bbs.  
2002 – The release date for the GGG DVD is announced. 
2004 – The single, Personal Jesus was released. 1998 – The Dope Show single released. On the same day, Manson was featured on an episode of MTV’s Ultrasound. 
1999 – the deaf girl from chapter 13 of Manson’s autobiography was on Howard Stern at 11:00 pm est.   
2000 – The cover art for the Disposable Teens single was announced.  2000 – Manson covers ‘Suicide is Painless' for the Blair Witch II soundtrack, which was produced on his label, Posthuman Records. 
2005 - Manson voted Most Frightening Artist in the World by CITY magazine. 1995- the Urination bootleg (also known as the Crucifixion bootleg) was recorded at a Vancouver, British Colombia show. 
2003 – MTV2 Headbanger's Ball album released, featuring Marilyn Manson. 1996 - Antichrist Superstar LP is released. The album debuts at #3 on the Billboard charts and earns the band arena venues. 
2001 - Marilyn Manson gives a special end-of-tour performance celebrating their successful tour with Ozzfest. The entire performance took place at downtown Los Angeles' Grand Olympic Auditorium and was filmed for the "Guns, God and Government" DVD. And unbeknownst to us all, this was Twiggy’s last performance with the band. 
2003 - Cyril Helnwein, son of artist Gottfried Helnwein, interviewed Marilyn Manson for the magazine Tastes Like Chicken. 
2004 – Argentinean reporters mention that their most recent school shooters were fans of Marilyn Manson, and equate the event to Columbine.  1998 – the first cryptic posting of “God is now here. God is nowhere.” As well as the first mention by Manson of the Zapruder film. This is the first glimpse of what will later become Holy Wood.  
2002 – Manson hints at Kaboom Kaboom being a title in his journal. 1998 – Manson asks how many of his bbsers would like to see Mr. Superstar played live. 
1999 – Manson attends the Los Angeles premiere of The Starlight Story with Rose McGowan. News also breaks of Ginger Fish playing piano on the Powerman 5000 album, "Tonight the Stars Revolt."  
2004 – Press announces that Manson will be playing the Queen of Hearts in the film, Living in Neon Dreams, an Alice in Wonderland remake. On this same day, Ginger Fish returns to America. As a testament to how serious the accident was, he doesn’t remember it, but says it sounds nasty if someone tells him the details.
2005 - Manson interviewed for the 20th anniversary of Spin Magazine. 1998 – Kevin Max, from the Christian band DC Talk, told to TIME magazine that he wants to hang with Marilyn Manson and discuss 80's music, much to the horror of Christians everywhere. 
2000 – Manson arrives to film a performance for Top of the Pops, and stays hidden in a Winnebago for the five hours between rehearsal and filming. Apparently, rumors also circulated that he would expose his genitals to the crowd.  1994 – Received the title of Reverend from Anton LaVey (Only an approximation… this is the closet tour date to LaVey's San Francisco home, so it is likely that he received the title near this day, if not on it.)  
1997 – Long Hard Road out of Hell single is released.  1998 – Manson settles the $15 million lawsuit with Scott Putesky out of court. Putesky claimed breach of contract and nonpayment of royalties.  1997 – Manson attended the premiere for the Harmony Korine film, Gummo, and met actress Rose McGowan for the first time.  
1998 – the Australian import single for The Dope Show is released.  
2002 – Manson set to score the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which didn't actually end up happening.  
2004 – the band plays Personal Jesus on MadTV, with new guitarist Mark Chaussee and temporary replacement drummer, Chris Vrenna. 1998 – ABC’s 20/20 shows a segment on moshing, and plays ‘Sweet Dreams’ during the scene talking about a teen who suffered brain damage. 1997 – Long Hard Road out of Hell video, directed by Michael Rolston, premiered on MTV. The video would later make number 9 on MTV's SeXRated Video countdown.  
2000 – Blair Witch II soundtrack is released from Manson's label, Posthuman Records, and features his cover of ‘Suicide is Painless'. On this same date, Holy Wood album producer Bon Harris' band Maven was born. 
2001 – Manson attends the From Hell movie premiere with John 5.  
2002 – Manson attends the film premiere for The Hire.  
2004 - Mark Chaussee officially joins the band as guitarist after John 5, for the band’s Lest We Forget tour. Of course, he played with the band for the first time two days earlier. 1994 - The day Manson officially became a Satanist. That night, he was banned from opening for Nine Inch Nails at the Delta Center in Utah, making this one of the first reports of Manson concert protest. At that same night, Manson came on stage, commented on sin and the crowd's morality, and tore pages out of the book of Mormon chanting ‘he loves me, he loves me not, fuck him!'  
1998 - Manson posts a ‘surprise emergency bulletin’ on the website, that “at midnight PST the left and right side of your brain will eclipse for 37 seconds allowing you to see coma white as she/he/other is manifested in your (consciousness)” and then counts down at the 37 minute and 37 second mark. 
2003 – Manson protested by 100 outside Mexico City concert. 
2004 – Manson and Dita sign on to be the new faces of Vivienne Westwood's summer clothing range. 1996 – Manson was informed by Tony Ciulla that Antichrist Superstar has reached number 3 on the billboard charts.  
1998 – VH1 does a Pop Up Video of ‘The Dope Show’, including facts such as: the "lab" scenes were shot in the lecture hall of Brandies, CA cultural institute, and that Manson requests that his road crew not smoke. 1997 - Marilyn and Twiggy make a surprise appearance during Smashing Pumpkins' set at Neil Young's Bridge Foundation Benefit show. Manson is introduced as "Billy the Space Cowboy" and is accompanied by Twiggy in a red wig and black & white pinto-patterned coat. They join the Pumpkins in acoustic versions of "Eye" and "The Beautiful People"   
2002 – Manson attends the 25th anniversary party at Joseph’s Club in West Hollywood. 1996 – Too much for Much Music featured a panel discussed the band's new album, Antichrist Superstar.   
1999 – Astonishing Panorama of the Endtimes premieres on TRL.  
2003 – Manson is spotted at midnight in New York city. 1996 – A death threat involving bombing a building with Mustard Gas was called in while Manson was in Toronto. On the same day, the MTV Special: True Tales of Teen Trauma aired for the first time. It featured a clip of an interview of Marilyn & Pogo. This was the first mention of Manson’s portrayal of Jesus in a school play.   
1998 – shooting for ‘I don’t like the Drugs’ video begins in an abandoned block of Carolside. 1998 – Manson teams up with rapper DMX to record ‘The Omen' which appeared on the album, Flesh of My Flesh-Blood of My Blood. 1995 -"Smells Like Children" is released. The song "Sweet Dreams (are made of this)"breaks the band commercially. 
2000 - Manson featured on Mayonaka no Ookoku. 
2002 – Much Music USA's party with Marilyn Manson was taped in New York City from 4:30-7:30 pm. As Manson stated, “This is NOT a 'costume party,' this is a commercial for the apocalypse."  
2006 - Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack released, with Manson covering 'This is Halloween.' 1998 – the Mechanical Animals tour kicks off Lawrence, Kansas, with 12 Rounds as the opening act. A youth church director in Kansas invited Manson to speak there, because his junior high and high school students were “interested in what would lead a person to have such a hatred in their voice.”  
2000 – The video for ‘Disposable Teens,' directed by Samuel Bayer, premiered on TRL at 3:30 pm. Manson called into the show to talk about the video, the themes involved, and the chimpanzee (who had a permanent erection throughout the shoot).  1990 - the rumor about Twiggy and Manson as gay lovers was born, after Twiggy ran on stage, pulled down his pants, and Manson started jacking him off. 
1996 – Manson interviewed on Rage   
1998 – Mechanical Animals tour kicked off in Kansas City. 
2000 – Rose McGowan models lingerie at a fashion show for Agent Provocateur. Manson wasn’t there. He probably had something better to do than watch her prance around. 1998 – The VH1 fashion awards are televised. Manson was nominated, but he did not win.  
2000 – The first show of Manson's Guns, God, and Government tour, at Minneapolis' Orpheum Theatre. He allegedly rubbed his crotch against the head of security guard David Diaz during the show.  
2004 – The ‘Against All Gods’ tour begins. 1997 – Anton LaVey dies, and Manson mourns a father figure. 
1998 – The show that night featured an intro solely by John 5 and a rare performance of User Friendly. 
2000 – Manson record signing in St. Louis, MO at Vintage Vinyl at 6:00 pm.  
2002 – Guns, God, and Government DVD released, featuring 30 minute bonus feature ‘The Death Parade' 1998 – Manson won two Billboard Music Awards at Sheraton Universal in Los Angeles. "The Dope Show" won Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Clip of the Year and the Maximum Vision Clip of the Year. 
2002 - Manson interviewed on Jay Leno about the GGG DVD.  
2003 – Manson concert canceled due to broken security bars. Fans riot. At the same time, Manson releases an official mask for the Halloween season. 1995- Manson at a signing at Newbury Comics in Boston. Footage from that night would later air on RAGE-TV, a Boston Cable show.  
1996 – somehow, a rumor got started that Manson would kill himself on stage. Obviously, he's still there.  
1998 – Manson falls 4 feet backstage, although did not request medical attention. The show ended early. 
2001 – Twiggy and his friend Jessica are spotted in Halloween costumes outside the Standard Hotel in Las Angeles. 
2002 - Manson on Uranium. 
2003 – Manson plays in Dallas. Footage from show later used on Trinity University's Studio 21. On the same night, Jeordie White dresses as Twiggy in San Antonio, and refuses to get off the stage after A Perfect Circle finishes their set. 
2005 - Manson reveals to MTV news that sexual instruments make great percussive tools. On the same night, Manson appears on Too Late with Adam Carolla.

1999 - "God is in the TV" concert video is released.  
2002 – Manson hangs with Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner at the Henry Fonda Theater. 
2005 - Manson releases the unedited (s)AINT video on his website with an 18+ disclaimer. 2000 – NMETV launches in the UK with a half-hour show that features a Marilyn Manson interview.
2005 - Mansonusa.com features their second exclusive Marilyn Manson interview. 1994 – ‘I put a Spell on You’ was played for the first time, in Carbondale, Illinois. 1996 – Manson and Twiggy called Trent Reznor, and were ignored. The tension between them mounted considerably. 
1998 – At the Billboard Music Video Awards Show, "The Dope Show" won Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Clip of the year and Maximum Vision Clip of the Year. Paul Hunter was named Best Director. 
2003 – Manson interviewed by Jack Osbourne for his new show Union Jack. On the same day, he does press in Mexico City. 2000 - Manson burns the American flag on stage. On the same day, "White Knuckles" and "Strange Same Dogma" were reissued on the compilation CD, The Funnel Zone, by Dossier label. A live version of "Mechanical Animals" also appeared on the MTV's Return of the Rock II compilation CD. And both Disposable Teens single CDs were released in the UK. 1996 – Manson is officially dubbed ‘mainstream' by MTV.   
1999 – Manson assures the bbs that he is not a Christian, and advised his fans to watch a film by Bunuel called ‘Viridiana' “it's one of my favorites. it was banned and caused a riot in its time.” 
2004 – The film, The Heart is Deceitful above all Things, premieres in the United States at the AFI Los Angeles film festival.  1996 – Manson on MTV Headbanger's Ball, “Anti-Tour special”  
1998 – Manson ends a North Carolina show due to, what some fans have dubbed, a lack of enthusiasm. On the same day, Texas schools now offer Marilyn Manson awareness training.  1994 - In Miami, Florida, Robin Fink runs out on stage and pulls his pants down. Manson, not to be outdone on his own stage, gets on his knees and puts Robin's penis in his mouth, until Robin falls over from laughter. 2000 – Manson's show at the Universal Amphitheatre for January 13th sells out in 12 minutes. On the same day, the Holy Wood cover is banned from Circuit City and Best Buy, because they found the picture of Manson with a missing jaw offensive.  
2003 – Manditory Manson show on Trinity University's Studio 21. 
2005 - Lest We Forget compilation is certified gold by the RIAA. 2000 - Holywood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) is released. That night, Manson, Twiggy, and John 5 played an acoustic set at a private party. On the same day, Christian protesters shout "Why do you follow the devil?" outside a concert in Rochester, New York. 2000 - Manson appears on TRL's Spankin' New Music Week the day after Holy Wood was released and arrived to the occasion in the style of Kennedy at the Dealy Plaza. That night, he held an acoustic concert to celebrate the release of Holy Wood.  
2002 – Manson and Dita attend the Playboy party at Barfly, after Dita is named Miss December 2002.  
2003 – Manson locks himself in a hotel room to begin filming the video for (s)AINT. 1998 – Twiggy talks with Cameron Diaz on MTV 1515. 
1999 - "The Last Tour On Earth" is Released. On the same day, a guy that used to beat up Brian Warner back in junior high school posts to Manson’s bbs. Manson responds multiple times from wishing he had a gun back then to “thanks for making me realize I was a pussy with no confidence.” That same night, he announces he will be taking a break from things for a while.
2000 – first Guns, God, and Government tour date to feature Burning Brides as a supporting act. 
2003 – Filming for the (s)AINT video continues. 1998 – Manson holds an autograph signing at the HMV record store at 333 Younge Street in Toronto, Ontario. On the same day, a lengthy Manson interview was featured on Much Music. 
1999 – Manson and Rose McGowan attend the Sleepy Hollow movie premiere.  
2002 – Manson performs ‘The Way I Am' at an exclusive Eminem's afterparty, after presenting him with the award for best Hip Hop at the MTV Europe music awards in Barcelona, Spain. 1997 – Remix and Repent is released.   2004 – Pierre et Gilles exhibit featuring Manson and Dita ends. 1995- ‘Come Together’ and ‘Strawberry Fields’ played live.

2002 – Title for Doll-Dagga Buzz-Buzz Ziggety-Zag revealed on Manson's journal. 1997 – Manson, Rose McGowan, and Twiggy Ramirez all attend the premiere for Alien Resurrection. 
1999 - Marilyn Manson closes the MTV Europe Music Awards performing "Rock is Dead". 1998 – Manson trashes his dressing room in the Mid-Hudson Civic Center and four hotel rooms at the Sheraton Hotel in Poughkeepsie, New York. The total damages were over $25,000. Manson willingly apologized and paid the bill, later adding that the rampage “was the result of his not having been provided enough drugs...”
2000 – USA Today prints the article, ‘There's Something about Marilyn' one of my favorite write-ups to date. 1996 – A slow version of My Monkey was played at the Close-up Festival in Santiago Chile. Other acts included Silverchair, Bad Religion, The Nixons, Tracy Bonham, Cypress Hill and the Sex Pistols.  
2004 – Manson teaches a class at Temple University as part of MTVu’s ‘Stand In’ series. College students everywhere else are jealous. Very jealous. 1996 – when in Rome do as the Romans do. When in south America, do as the South Americans do, and binge on cocaine. The first time Manson did cocaine since the release of Antichrist Superstar. 1996 – Manson holds a Press Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is his first performance there. The show ended up during Irresponsible Hate Anthem. After trashing his drums, Ginger passed out, and 4 people carried him off.  
1997 – Manson answers a Congressional hearing on the social impact of music lyrics by comparing it to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. 
1998 – Grim Jack’s famous Manson page disappears from the Internet, and fans everywhere mourn. I still remember having to link in the back way to avoid the school’s Internet filter.
2003- Manson on the Sharon Osbourne Show. 
2004 – Manson appears on the David Letterman show. 1998 - Marilyn Manson spends his thanksgiving dinner of lettuce in jail for setting fire to his hotel room. It is decided that no charges will be filed. 
2000 – Ginger Fish broke his collarbone falling from a riser during the finale of the Hammerstein Ballroom show in New York City. 1998 – Rose McGowan appears on the Late Show, and Manson is there to support her. 
2000 – the Catholic League declares a boycott on Holy Wood because of the Bishop's suit being used in the Disposable Teens video, stating that Manson was at war with Christ. Manson replied with: “I can't possibly be at war with Christ, because your religion killed him and what he stood for. But if you want to be at war with me...bring it on."  1996 – The first Dead to the World tour date with Fluffy as the opening act, in Stockholm, Sweden.  
1998 - Manson interviewed on David Letterman about Mechanical Animals. That night was the first Mechanical Animals tour date to feature Moonspell as the supporting act.  
2000 – Ginger Fish agrees to play, despite the broken collarbone. Go Ginger Fish!! 2000 – Disposable Teens single released. 
2005 - Court records list this date as Manson's marriage to Dita Von Teese. 2001 – Manson signs autographs outside the Standard hotel in Las Angeles.  
2003 – Manson appears on Tinseltown TV.  
2004 – Manson is featured in VH1’s Cheesiest videos countdown. 1998 – Manson accused of assaulting Spin Magazine editor Craig Marks and threatening the editor's family because Manson didn't get his picture on the magazine's full cover. Manson denied the allegation.

2003 – For the first time on a tour, Manson plays a second date in France, at Le Dôme, Marseille.
2005 – Marilyn Manson weds Dita VonTeese. 1994 –a young girl passes out due to Manson and Tony Wiggins’ sin-sucking device. Manson fears this might be the first fatal act of backstage hedonism. 
1996 – All of the hair on Twiggy's forehead mysteriously disappeared.  
2002 – Now, John 5 finally goes to see the Pussycat Dolls show that Manson saw during the summer.  
2004 – Manson and Dita attend Gottfried Helnwein’s exhibit, “Modern Sleep.” 1995 – Pogo mentions in an interview with the Gaston Gazette that the band has covered Deep Purple's 'Space Tracking', although it has never been released. 
1998 – the video for ‘I don’t like the Drugs’ premieres on MTV at 11:00 am.  
2000 – the Autopsy video causes concern with the moral majority, which is large enough to actually make the press.  
2001- Manson interviewed on Howard Stern. On the same day, the not Another Teen Movie soundtrack premieres, with Manson’s cover of Tainted Love. 
2003 – mOBSCENE nominated for a Grammy award. 1998 – A show in Munich, Germany is cancelled due to illness. 
2000 – Manson concert in the Toledo (Ohio) Sports Arena was cancelled because drummer Ginger Fish reaggrivated his collarbone. On the same day, A group of students at Bowsher High School eat pages of a bible, welcome Manson with balloons, and nearly cause a riot. Because this falls after Columbine, and there were reports of a possible hit list, the students were punished severely for their atheist views. 
2001 – A second security guard files a civil suit against Marilyn Manson's crotch, in a Minneapolis federal court. David Diaz of Anoka county sought $75,000 in damages. 1998 – A show in Vienna, Austria is cancelled due to illness.  
2004 – MTVu’s ‘Stand In’ episode, which features Marilyn Manson as a guest professor, airs for the first time. 1999 – The Marilyn Manson box set is released, featuring Last Day on Earth and God is in the TV.  
2001 – Manson attends the premiere party for Not Another Teen Movie. He is featured on the film’s soundtrack with ‘Tainted Love’  1994 – Twiggy had a ‘one-night-stand’ so to speak, with Nine Inch Nails, filling in for the injured Robin Finck, playing with them on stage. 
1997 - Manson and Twiggy appear with the Smashing Pumpkins during their opening for the Rolling Stones in Miami.  
1998 – In an interview to MTV, Manson explains that his bodyguards don't go beating up people, in a response to the accusations by Spin magazine. 
2000 – on the anniversary of John Lennon's death, Manson presented an acoustic clip of Lennon's hit, ‘Working Class Hero' for download. It also appears on one of the Disposable Teens singles. 2003 – While in Milan for their tour, Pogo, Ginger and John eat at Vlad Restaurant. 1994 – Twiggy played his only gig as a member of Dee Snider's Sick Muthafuckers on New York's Bleecker Street. This is why some of his bass picks say "SMF" on them.  
1997 – Manson appears in MTV's 1997 Year in Rock.   
2001 – Manson hosted MTV2 this week. On the same day, Manson was also interviewed on Howard Stern. 
2004 – Manson played a cover of "Revolution is My Name" at La Villa Real Convention Center in McAllen, Texas as a tribute to late Damageplan guitarist Dimebag Darrell. 1994 – Manson sticks his fist up someone’s ass, when Nine Inch Nails tried to make Manson look like a hypocrite. It beget the greatest hazing of Marilyn Manson ever! Nine Inch Nails members doused the band in salsa and baby powder before the show, send male strippers onstage, doused them again afterwards, handcuffed them and leaving them, soaking wet in 25-degree weather and with exactly $1.00 between them, in the very nasty downtown area of Philadelphia. College students drove them back to the venue.

2006 - Court documents officially state this is the date of Manson and Dita's separation. 1999 – Manson posted the lyrics to “Away in a Manger” on his forum, wishing his fans a happy holiday. 1994 – First of four headlining dates in Florida after the release of Portrait.
1996 – Much Music’s metal show, Loud, presented its Best of 1996 show, featuring a Manson interview and the video for “The Beautiful People” The same night was the first Dead to the World tour date to feature Drill as the opening act. 1994 – Manson was arrested in violation of the Adult Entertainment Code in Jacksonville, Florida. He spent 16 hours in jail.  
1995 – Manson headlines the first of two dates in Cleveland with Johnny Skilsaw as the supporting act.

2006 - Dita Von Teese files for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Manson and Dita officially split after Dita filed for divorce.1992 - The rib removal rumor was most likely born that night, out of a simulated sex act between Manson and a girl dressed just like him. 
1995 – A headlining tour begins on the East Coast and in the Midwest, with Lunachicks and other various supporting acts. Manson pushes Daisy Berkowitz off stage, the first visible sign of hostility between the two bandmates. 
1998 – Manson performs an acoustic version of The Last Day on Earth, at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. Manson-faced poker chips are also given out. 
2000 – Manson performs Disposable Teens on MTV's New Years Eve Party. He then performs at midnight. (see January 1)  
2002 – Manson attends Sharon and Ozzy's wedding vow renewal. Dita performed a strip tease, and Ozzy proceeded to kiss Manson with tongue. This was later aired on the Osbournes on MTV.  
2003 – Manson appears on the Sharon Osbourne Show.
